Congratulations Jadwiga Supryn

Jadwiga Supryn (DPhil Management, 2022) received a number of awards in 2025. She was winner of both the Oxford Saïd Tim Morris Best Management Paper and the SAP Best Student Paper Award at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting.

Jadwiga was also a finalist for the William H Newman Award for best annual meeting paper based on a dissertation at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting and a nominee for an Emerging Scholars Workshop and Networking Event at the Society for Business Ethics Annual Meeting.

Prior to joining college, Jadwiga completed a BSc in Business Studies from Bayes Business School in London, an MSc in Financial Management in Poland and an MBA in the United States.

In addition to her international studies, she has transitioned to academia from the finance industry where she gained over seven years of experience in the US, Canada, Singapore, Switzerland and Poland. She worked with American Express Bank, Bank of New York Mellon, Crisil Global Research & Analytics (a Standard & Poor’s company), Credit Suisse, UBS and Manulife/John Hancock.

Her areas of work include treasury, alternative investment servicing in hedge funds, equity research in investment banking with coverage of banks, brokers and exchanges, wealth management, CFO strategic consultancy and advisory, and digital transformation.

Jadwiga is working on research in entrepreneurship, innovation, strategy and finance, focused on digital transformation.

In her research on the emergence of financial technology (FinTech), she would like to enhance the understanding of digital transformation and investigate the impacts of FinTech on entrepreneurship, the economy, the financial system, regulations, social welfare, etc.

Her research focuses on studying mechanisms and processes in relation to how and why technology affords inclusive innovation and in particular, FinTech-led financial inclusion.
