Green Templeton flies Oxford Women’s Suffrage flag to mark Women’s History Month

Green Templeton is flying the Oxford Women’s Suffrage Society flag on the college gates in recognition of Women’s History Month and, in particular, International Women’s Day, which takes place on Friday 8 March.
Women’s History Month is an annual event that runs throughout March to recognise, promote and celebrate women’s achievements.
The theme for this year’s International Women’s Day is #BalanceForBetter, which encourages gender balance around the world.
Green Templeton also flew the Oxford Women’s Suffrage Society flag on Friday 14 December last year, to mark 100 years since British and Irish women first voted in a general election and stood as parliamentary candidates.
The flag, commissioned by Women in the Humanities, is a reproduction of a banner made and displayed by the Oxford Women’s Suffrage Society in 1908.
