Is China right?

Is China Right Welfare Implications Of Western Hegemony By Robert Walker Book CoverEmeritus Fellow Robert Walker has published a new book Is China Right? which investigates China’s claim that Western hegemony harms the international community. Putting China’s geopolitical intent aside, Robert assembles a breadth of independent evidence to examine the consequences of the West’s hegemonic power for individuals rather than nation states.

Using the UN Universal Declaration of Human Rights as an evaluative framework, this wide-ranging book assesses the robustness and consequences of Western values and institutions and their legitimacy in the 21st Century. Robert analyses Western political, cultural, economic, technological and military policies and practices as forms of power and control of the world order, and examines the consequences of this for human welfare and global inequality.
