Professor Rafael Ramírez named Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences

Green Templeton College Governing Body Fellow Professor Rafael Ramírez has been named a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Rafael is Professor of Practice at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, Director of the Oxford Scenarios Programme and Academic Director of the Oxford Networked Strategy Lab.

He was conferred the honour of Academy Fellow after an extensive peer review process evaluating the excellence and impact of his work through the use of social science for public benefit.

He was described as a pioneer of organisational aesthetics and the concept of value-creating systems.

The Academy of Social Sciences announced this week that it has conferred Fellowships on 73 leading social scientists drawn from academics, practitioners and policymakers across the social sciences.

The Academy currently represents nearly 90,000 social scientists, including 1,313 individual Fellows, 44 Learned Societies and a number of affiliates.

Its mission is to promote social science in UK for the public benefit.

In October 2018, Green Templeton College Governing Body Fellow, Sue Dopson, was named a Fellow of the Academy. Principal Denise Lievesley is also a Fellow.
