Kaiyang Song selected to play in Varsity match
Kaiyang Song (Clinical Medicine, 2021) is set to play in his third consecutive Blues Football Varsity against Cambridge on Sunday 19 March.
Kai played his first Varsity match in 2021, in which Oxford secured a 2-0 victory. He then went on to play again in 2022 and helped the dark blues to a 1-0 win against their rivals.
Kai was a successful recipient of a full Blues Grant, which is supported by donations to the college.
The Varsity match is one of the oldest regular fixtures in world football. The men’s match has been played annually since 1873, while the first women’s match first was played in 1986.
The women’s Blues kick off at 12:00 followed by the men’s Blues at 15:00. Both matches will take place at Leyton Orient Football Club.
