Observer’s House
The Observer’s House was originally built for the Director of the Radcliffe Observatory. It is located within the grounds of Green Templeton College, next to the Observatory.
The building has a shared kitchen with fridge/freezers, microwaves, hobs, ovens and kettles. We do ask you to bring your own cooking equipment, crockery and utensils.
Bed linen is not provided, just a mattress protector, which we ask you to leave on departure. If you require a bedding pack (duvet, pillow, pillowcase, duvet cover and fitted sheet) for your arrival – please indicate this on your booking form. Charges apply.
Rooms S2, S3, S4 and S5 on the top floor have restricted headroom. Do not book these rooms if you are over 1.8m / 6 feet tall.
Laundry facilities are located on the main site.
Scouts (Cleaners) work Monday – Friday and clean all communal areas, including kitchens, bathrooms, hallways and stairs on a daily basis. They will clean your bedroom once every two weeks if required.
Please note that Observer’s House is located close to the site of the University’s new Humanities building. We do expect some noise disruption from April 2022 and are working closely with the University and the contractor to mitigate disruption during key times. We will endeavour to keep all residents up to date with information relating to the build.
