We are always open to ideas for new sports groups and classes. Any ideas? Let us know here.
Gym and Group Exercise
We are offering free Zumba and Yoga classes in the gym throughout term. Zumba classes are on Wednesdays, 5-6 pm, every week during term time except on Wednesday 30th of October. Yoga will be offered every Sunday throughout term, 1 – 2:15 pm, and four times on Wednesdays 7 – 8 pm (16th & 13th of October and 13th & 27th of November). Both classes are free for Green Templeton students, no need to sign up in advance, just show up and make sure to bring some water.
Green Templeton College Boat Club
The youngest of the college boat clubs, Green Templeton Boat Club was created in 2008 after the merger of Green College and Templeton College. Since then, the GTBC has grown rapidly into a large vibrant community of enthusiastic rowers of all levels. Our history may be short, but already we have earned a reputation for both our skills and our fun.
As an inclusive, active and fun club, we would love to meet you and give you a sense of rowing (and coxing) and our club! The only requirement to be able to participate in this is that YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO SWIM (safety requirement from the University).
You can join at any time during Michaelmas term! But we recommend joining as soon as possible to follow the training program. If you cannot attend either session above, you can join here.
More info about the club.

Interested in playing the healthiest sport in the world (Forbes magazine) at your friendly college club? At Squash at Green Templeton, we welcome players of all abilities, even if you’ve never played before! Do take advantage of some of the best on-site squash facilities in Oxford, including a heated court, rackets, professional coaching, social events, a ladder and more. The college team competes in the top division of the university league, and, if there is sufficient interest, we can enter a 2nd team too.
Come along to a coaching session, run every Monday and Wednesday during term-time for Novices/Beginners (17:00-18:00), Intermediates (18:00-19:00), and Advanced (19:00-20:00) players – look out for our weekly emails so you can book these! For more information, join our mailing list at https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/gtc-squash or contact Raghav.firstname.lastname@example.org.

Green Templeton Men’s Football Club
Contact: Oscar Barnes
Green Templeton does not have its own team at the moment but students interested in playing are encouraged to join Trinity’s Men’s Football Club.
Green Templeton Running Club
Contact: Lion Uhl
The main purpose of the Green Templeton Running Club is to provide a platform for people at Green Templeton who enjoy going for runs and are looking to find a couple of running companions. There is a Facebook group and Whatsapp group to coordinate planned runs with your fellow runners. We used to go for regular runs on Sunday morning before the Green Templeton brunch but depending what time works best for most people we can also look for a different day and time while organising more runs spontaneously. We usually participate as a college team at the annual Oxford Town and Gown 10k run in May, which takes you along the most scenic parts of Oxford but we can also think about participating in more running events throughout the year.
Green Templeton Tennis Club
Green Templeton does not have an active tennis club at the moment, however we are offering tennis classes throughout term, both for beginners and intermediate players. Those classes are running on Mondays and Wednesdays from 3-4:30 p.m. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come first serve basis to the first 16 individuals. Preference will be given to students that can attend all the classes. Sign up emails for those classes will be sent out next week Monday.
Osler-Green Cricket Club
Contact: Ajay Kapur
Osler-Green Cricket Club is a twinned club between Green Templeton and the Medical School. The Club welcomes all comers of all abilities, and plays in 20/20 matches in the evenings in the University’s departmental Jack Cox league, along with occasional fixtures against colleges and visiting teams. We’re a friendly and fun club, with an emphasis on giving everyone a chance to throw some willow at some leather, while still maintaining a respectable standing in the leagues. Anyone with an interest in playing, whether as a beginner or an old hand should feel free to get in touch!

In case you’re interested in trying a new, fun and athletic sport, look no further: Ultimate Frisbee is a (real and) great sport and the community in Oxford is wonderful. Ultimate is a fast-paced, competitive team sport played with a flying disc, often described as a cross between American football and netball.
Normal training sessions will start in Week 1 (Wednesdays and Saturdays). In case you’re interested, just let me know and we can go to the first training(s) together. More information can be found here: https://oxuniultimate.com/
Oxford University American Football Club (OULAFC)

We welcome recruits of all genders and experience, and are considerate of enquiries from those with a disability regarding the accessibility of American Football.
