Ana Vazquez-Palomo
DPhil in Engineering Science, 2026
I am originally from Spain, and I am currently a DPhil student in Biomedical Engineering. My research focuses on computational modelling and simulation of neurodegenerative diseases, with a particular interest in understanding disease progression and developing clinically relevant biomedical technologies.
Before joining Oxford, I completed an MSc in Integrity and Durability of Materials, Components and Structures and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Oviedo. I previously worked as a Research Staff Member at the University of Oviedo, following a research scholarship at the Institute of Industrial Technology of Asturias, where I developed computational models for Alzheimer’s disease.
