Clarisse Russell
MSc Nature, Society, and Environmental Governance, 2026
My name is Clarisse and I am originally from Toulouse, France. After completing a BA in Anthropology at the University of Exeter, I became deeply invested in debates around institutional sustainability. I am aiming to pursue doctoral research into how sea level rise is perceived and managed in the Tuamotu archipelago in French Polynesia. I am most interested in how governing the environment evokes intersecting issues of climate change and coloniality. In my free time, I like to swim, cook and read as well as practice yoga.
