Elisa Sisto
MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies, 2019
Elisa Sisto is pursuing a DPhil in International Development, focusing on humanitarianism and border governance. Prior to her DPhil, Elisa worked at the International Organization for Migration (UN Migration) in Geneva on a portfolio of projects on topics including migration policy, climate change, research and data, and community development. She also worked with different organisations across Southern and Eastern Europe, encompassing roles in migration research and operations, refugee and migration law, as well as human rights advocacy.
Elisa holds an MSc in Refugee and Forced Migration Studies from the University of Oxford, as well as a dual bachelor’s degree in Human Rights from Columbia University, and in Political Science and Law from Sciences Po. Elisa was a member of Green Templeton College during her master’s degree, and her doctoral studies are supported by the Clarendon Fund and the Merton College International Development Scholarship.
