I come from Wisconsin in the US and studied Anthropology and Music Performance during my undergraduate years! Then I spent roughly six years teaching English to adult students in the Saharawi refugee camps in Southern Algeria. I loved learning about a culture so different from my own and studying the Hassaniya dialect of Arabic, but I’ve always wanted to do something other than teach English. Throughout those years I witnessed many projects and many amazing intentions that just seemed to be missing something in order to get off the ground and really, sustainably, address the unique problems their society was facing. A desire to help find the missing pieces led me to the field of Social Impact in Business, which is what drew me directly to Oxford Said Business School!
