Raised by a retail investor father, I developed an early curiosity for finance that eventually led me to The D. E. Shaw Group, a hedge fund, where I spent four years using data and technology to help investment teams untangle complex problems and streamline investment decision-making. I led teams that turned messy data into actionable insights—ranging from IPO valuations to fintech product automation—often collaborating with traders, quants, CXOs, and techies to solve problems that crossed both spreadsheets and code.

Outside the day job, I enjoy following MMA, boxing (as a viewer and a not-very-intimidating beginner) and weightlifting. I also edit The Quantamental, a finance blog where I break down market puzzles and investment modeling for anyone who nerds out on these things. Whether mentoring new joiners at work or leading community tech workshops, I’m happiest in teams where learning is mutual and jargon is optional.

Above all, I value strong relationships, at home and at work, which keep me grounded and ambitious. I’m most energized by meeting people who challenge my thinking and finding humor even in high-pressure days. If you ever want to chat about investing, business, comedy, or the latest fight card, I’m all ears.
