Dr Izel Caliskan
MSc Global Healthcare Leadership, 2026
Dr Izel Caliskan is a Women’s Scholar at Saïd Business School, where she is undertaking a Master of Science in Global Healthcare Leadership. She is a Clinical Psychologist and healthcare leader specialising in trauma-informed practice, complex health conditions, and the development of equitable psychological services. She completed her Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at University College London.
Izel serves as the Clinical Lead for an NHS service, where she is responsible for clinical governance, multidisciplinary leadership, staff supervision, service development, quality improvement, and the delivery of psychologically informed care to diverse and underserved communities. Her work focuses particularly on reducing health inequalities, improving access to evidence-based interventions, and developing sustainable services within resource-constrained healthcare systems.
Alongside her clinical leadership role, Izel teaches postgraduate psychology students at University College London and contributes to the training, supervision, and mentorship of future clinicians. Her broader professional interests include global mental health, culturally responsive practice, and the use of innovation to strengthen mental health systems.
