Hi, I’m Jacob and I completed my undergraduate degree in International Studies at Leiden University in The Netherlands. Pursuing a multidisciplinary degree in International Studies allowed me to investigate topics holistically in order to uncover the interconnections between cultural norms, historical precedents, political structures, and economic imperatives.

Building upon my undergraduate experience, I am very excited to be joining the MSc Global Governance and Diplomacy course. During my time at Oxford, I plan on continuing to research topics which lay at the intersection between international relations and political economy.

Outside the classroom I enjoy playing chess with friends, traveling, cooking, and skiing. I also very much look forward to watching the debates hosted by the Oxford Union.
