Jesita Ajani
DPhil Public Policy, 2024
I am Indonesian and currently a DPhil student in public policy at the Blavatnik School of Government, Oxford University.
My research focuses on labor and behavioral economics within the context of developing countries. I am particularly interested in how norms affect female labor force participation in developing economies.
Prior to joining Oxford, I was a predoc fellow at NHH FAIR, Norway. I was involved in Randomized Controlled Trials (RCTs) in Tanzania and Ghana, examining gender norms, attitudes, and the transition from secondary education to the labor market.
I hold a Master of Research in Economics (High Distinction) from the Paris School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Universitas Gadjah Mada, where I was the Valedictorian.
