Jessica Harris
PGCE Geography
2021
Hi, I’m Jess!
I grew up in the Cotswolds (UK) and Belize – two wildly different but beautiful places that inspired my love for travel and ultimately led to me moving to the Netherlands to complete my undergraduate studies at Leiden University College. I majored in International Governance and Development and adored living in The Hague. From there, I pursued an MSc in Geographic Information Systems at the University of Sheffield and graduated in lock-down.
For my next challenge, I’m drawing together my love of education with that of the outdoors, maps, and sustainability, and embarking on a PGCE Geography. I’m particularly excited to see how I can incorporate GIS into the future of geographic learning.
Outside of the classroom, I love hiking at sunrise and all things water-related. I’m also partial to cider. I’m excellent at punting, proficient at baking, and (still) trying to learn to juggle.
I’m really looking forward to exploring the city, and I cannot wait to meet you!
