MSc Financial Economics 2021

Hi! My name is Emma (Jiayue) Tao, and I am a Masters student in Financial Economics. I grew up in Beijing, China and completed my undergraduate degree at University of California, Berkeley, where I studied Computer Science, Economics, and Philosophy. I am interested in elegant quantitative and computational methods to solve challenging impactful problems, especially in economics and finance. I am also always down for a discussion about philosophy or the humanities in general!

In my spare time, I love to watch TV shows, play board games, (try to) cook new things, and go hiking. I also look forward to traveling more in our post-pandemic world, especially different parts of the UK and Europe! Hope to make good friends at Green Templeton College, learn a lot, and enjoy my year at Oxford!
