For the past five years, I have worked as a medical doctor for the Department of Health, South Africa. My responsibilities were divided between public health policy implementation and clinical practice in emergency departments.
My return to university was driven by a desire to discover opportunities that improve the health of patients on a broader scale than the standard patient-physician interaction permits. Saïd Business School offers the opportunity not only to explore but also to develop the necessary cross-functional business skills in an environment that fosters socially responsible leaders.
At Green Templeton College, I hope to build relationships with passionate students that have diverse areas of competence. I am excited to learn from them, be challenged by them, and be inspired by them. In return, I am eager to share the lessons I have learnt from my patients and the unglamorous but effective frugal innovations that are integral to the African problem-solving process.
