Karl Justus HeinleinMPhil Politics: Comparative Government
2020

I graduated from the University of Freiburg, Germany in 2019 with a Bachelor’s in Liberal Arts. After that, I worked as a junior consultant in policy research for the International Institute for Educational Planning of UNESCO, contributing to policy research on Open Government reforms in the education sector.
Pursuing an MPhil in Comparative Government in Oxford, I am interested in what factors determine the strength of political and social accountability and the quality of public services in different countries.

Outside of my degree, I am passionate about languages. I speak French and Spanish and have taken on the challenge to learn Mandarin. I also enjoy rowing and playing saxophone in the college big band.
