Khaliq KhanMSc Major Programme Management, 2022

I carefully curated my educational journey, starting with a bachelor’s in economics, Statistics Mathematics, followed by another bachelor’s in Management Information Systems, Finance and Computing. I continued my learning journey for higher education getting a Postgraduate at Liverpool in Computing and most recently LEAD certification from Stanford University.

During my bachelor’s degree, I started a software company with some classmates. I learnt many things about owning and sharing a start-up but above all I learnt the value of fostering a business from scratch. This start-up mentality taught me the value of avoiding repeating mistakes but not to shy away from taking new bold steps.

After graduating from university, I decided to work for a global Consulting Management company. During the last 28 years, I have lived in US (7 years), France (8 years), Denmark (6 years), UK (5 years) and now UAE since 2019. In addition, I have worked in 37 countries expanded my understanding and appreciation for different values, beliefs and cultural diversity.

I am very excited to be a part of the University of Oxford tradition, to be a part of the MMPM cohorts and to study and live at Green Templeton College. I believe my studies at Oxford will help me to manage the demands of our growing need to manage more complex projects. I believe this programme will equip me with the tools to tackle the types of programmes I want to lead, like global food wastage and better place me to act in response to the future needs.
