I am reading for the MSc in Evidence-based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation. I completed my undergraduate degree in Mass Communications (Journalism) in Western Australia in 2004, with subsequent postgraduate study in finance. I have worked in social policy roles for over 15 years in a range of areas including welfare/social security, housing, and Indigenous Affairs. I have a particular interest in policy development that supports vulnerable families and children and will focus my studies at Oxford around interventions for these groups. I also have related interests in gender and parenting.

My goal is to effectively communicate research in a government context and enhance its application in policy development and implementation in the real world.

I enjoy walking and running in my free time, as well as reading and catching up with friends over good food.
