I, a physician-turned-civil servant, am a registered dentist by training. I obtained a BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) from the Faculty of Medicine, University of Rajshahi, Bangladesh. I also hold a Master’s in Public Health (MPH) from AIUB, Dhaka and a Postgraduate Diploma in Population Sciences from the University of Dhaka. I have gone through professional training ranging from political economy to public procurement.

I worked as a physician and in various administrative capacities for four years in the government health service. Later I switched over to Civil Service and then joined Bangladesh Planning Commission, the central policy planning institution of the country. Here I have been working as an economic analyst for national development planning. I am contributing towards appraisal, evaluation and implementation monitoring of projects addressing the issues of health, education, decent work, and gender equality. I also serve as SDGs focal person and lead a team working on the data-driven government to ensure more effective and efficient public services.
