MPhil Evidence-Based Social Intervention and Policy Evaluation
2021

Sarah MackenzieHi, I’m Sarah! While I am originally from Canada, I graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2020. I studied Public Policy, Global Studies, and Arabic, and wrote my senior thesis on discrimination in bail proceedings in my home province of Alberta. I am passionate about poverty alleviation and criminal justice, and have worked in South Africa, Jordan, and Washington, D.C. in those areas. Prior to my matriculation at Oxford, I worked for the Center for Appellate Litigation, a public defender’s office in New York City which represents low-income defendants in their criminal appeals.

I will pursue an MPhil in Evidence-Based Social Policy and Intervention at Oxford and am excited to continue to develop and expand my interest in social justice.
