Saru Duckworth is a DPhil student in Management and holds the GTC–Oxford Saïd DPhil Scholarship, supervised by Dr Akshay Mangla and Dr Daniel Armanios. She has extensive experience working across global development, education, and gender equality. Her international experience includes work with the United Nations Foundation, the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Senegal, and the United Nations Civil Society Conference in Nairobi. She has also contributed to policy development at BRAC International and UNICEF.

Saru’s academic interests span public policy, business, and social innovation. Her research examines the mechanisms for scaling social innovations through partnerships with governments and NGOs in low- and middle-income countries.
