Saskia McCulloch
Master of Public Policy
2020
I am a foreign service officer and policy analyst. I’ve most recently worked for New Zealand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade as a diplomat, focusing on security and political relationships across Asia. During the initial COVID-19 response I was seconded to the Office of the Deputy Chief Executive to work on the organisations resilience and business continuity challenges.
Prior to diplomacy I focused on advocacy work in the international climate change sector, predominantly in the UNFCCC negotiations for the Paris Agreement.
I hold a master in international studies, and a bachelor in Islamic studies and political science from the University of Otago, New Zealand.
I have an international background, holding both New Zealand and Dutch citizenship, being raised in the Middle East.
