Shaoyu (Yolanda) Liang

Liang Shaoyu Casual PhotoMaster of Business Administration, 2022

Hi GTC people! I am Shaoyu (Yolanda) from Shenyang, China. I started my career in Hong Kong’s financial services industry and shifted to the non-profit sector. My last stop before the MBA journey was a program officer at Clinton Health Access Initiative, implementing various relevant public health consulting projects for Chinese health bureaus, hospitals and pharmaceuticals. Besides, I have also worked in China’s first impact investing network CASVI.

A little about Me:
1. Besides mainland China, I spent most of my life in the UK (Worcestershire), Singapore and Hong Kong.
2. I would love to be a Polyglot. I speak Chinese, English, Cantonese and Korean. I also learnt Spanish, Japanese and Bahasa before, but what is left in my brain is only counting 1-10 in these languages.
3. I am a bouldering and rock-climbing addict and can’t wait to try out the walls in the UK!
4. I love musical, drama, K-pop, tennis, swimming and exploring all things that I have never tried.
5. Joining a team sport is something I definitely want to try this year!!!

Getting to know more people is one of my top goals during the MBA journey, so please do not hesitate to say hi when we pass by! Come to St Margaret’s Road, and I will make sure to treat you with the most authentic Chinese food!
