Tamanna Dharamsey Profile Pic SmilingTamanna is from Mumbai, India, and recently graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Psychology from Ashoka University. She’s interested in how school environments contribute to socio-emotional development in early to middle childhood.

Tamanna has held fellowships as a JLL Scholar at Ashoka, a Mountaintop Fellow at Lehigh University (Pennsylvania), and a Founding Generation Fellow with ICIS at the University of Minnesota. Her work has spanned studying how infants form social labels to how emotional regulation and perspective-taking shape academic outcomes in young children. She has also worked with the Centre for Behavioural & Social Change and several nonprofits to build foundational numeracy, literacy, and vocational skills for children from low-resource backgrounds and first-generation college students in India.

Outside of work, Tamanna is a huge sci-fi nerd. You can always find her grooving to music or trying her hand at a new creative pursuit 🙂
