2021
Hi, I am Claire from Beijing, China. I am a doctoral student at the Department of Education focusing on Applied Linguistics and Second Language Acquisition. Specifically, I am interested in exploring the high school to university transition for bilingual students studying abroad. I am supported by the China Oxford Scholarship Fund.
I have studied and worked in China, the U.S., U.K., and Cambodia. Previously, I completed my B.A in Education and Physics at University of Cambridge (2012-2015), M.A. in Applied Linguistics at UCL Institute of Education (2015-2016), and M.Ed in International Education Policy at Harvard University (2020-2021). Over the past five years, I have worked at Beijing Xinxuedao Linchuan School International as a Physics, Psychology, school counsellor, and Director of International Education.
I love talking with people from diverse backgrounds, and I am always amazed by the unique life stories. I enjoy travelling, hiking, musicals, movies, cooking, and trying new things.
