Yukino Arai Ashida

Yukino Arai AshidaMaster of Business Administration, 2025

I am a Japanese MBA student at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.

My academic and professional interests centre on social impact and equity, diversity, and inclusion (EDI), with a particular focus on women’s economic empowerment in Japan and Asia. I was also recently selected as a recipient of the 2025 Zonta Women in Business Leadership Award.

Prior to Oxford, I worked as a Manager at an international consulting firm, where I specialised in and led technology, strategy, and impact-related projects. I worked with private, public, and non-profit organisations, and was also involved in social impact initiatives, including launching an employment support programme to help single mothers achieve financial independence, as well as developing sustainability education programmes.

At Oxford, I am keen to deepen my understanding of responsible leadership, social impact, and impact investing, while engaging with a diverse academic community across colleges and disciplines.

I am also a member of the Impact Lab run by the Skoll Centre, a singer in the St Hugh’s Chapel Choir, and an enthusiast of Japanese anime and manga!
