Dr Bridget Kustin
Dr Bridget Kustin is a Research Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford.
Bridget studies family ownership and wealth at opposite ends of the wealth spectrum, from family offices and large family businesses, to impoverished female-headed households in Bangladesh. She received her PhD in Economic Anthropology from Johns Hopkins University, where she was a National Science Foundation Graduate Research Fellow and a Fellow of the Institute for Money, Technology, and Financial Inclusion to support her fieldwork in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and Saudi Arabia regarding Islamic microfinance and social justice.
Her research has been supported by fellowships from the Fulbright Foundation, American Institute of Bangladesh Studies, American Institute of Indian Studies, and the World Economic Forum. She has consulted for the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Good Ancestor Movement, and Islamic Relief Worldwide.
Bridget teaches Capitalism in Debate, Family Business, and Impact for Major Programmes Management at the Saïd Business School, where she is a fellow of the Skoll Centre for Social Entrepreneurship. She speaks Bangla.
