College to celebrate Community & Giving Week 2026

Green Templeton College is bringing together its global network of alumni, fellows, students and supporters for Community & Giving Week, running from Saturday 20 June to Friday 26 June 2026.

Thanks to the generosity of donors, match funding opportunities will be available from the start of the campaign, giving supporters the chance to increase the impact of their gift and help unlock additional support for students.

A week of events and activities

Throughout the week, there will be exciting opportunities for alumni, friends and supporters to connect with fellow members of the community. Events taking place throughout the week include:

  • a Garden Party to open the week
  • the GTC Big Quiz
  • a virtual student presentation feedback session connecting alumni expertise with current student projects
  • community activities such as Hook-a-Duck and The Ultimate Biscuit Showdown, a biscuit decorating competition
  • a memory wall, inviting members of the Green Templeton community to share photographs, stories and memories from their time at the college
  • interactive games and challenges will also run throughout the week, unlocking additional funding while encouraging friendly competition and collaboration across the community.

For the first time since its launch, Green Templeton’s annual Photography Competition will form part of Community & Giving Week. This year’s theme ‘The Student Experience’ will shine a spotlight on student life in college and the winning entry will be selected by public vote and announced on Thursday 25 June.

A digital donor wall will also recognise supporters who choose to be publicly acknowledged, celebrating generosity and inspiring others to get involved.

Supporting Green Templeton students

Funds raised during Community & Giving Week helps to ensure that financial barriers never prevent individuals from fully participating in the Green Templeton and wider Oxford experience. Donations support a range of opportunities for our students, including:

  • funding conference attendance and academic development opportunities
  • supporting student parents with childcare costs
  • enabling participation in sports and recreational activities
  • backing research with the potential to change lives.

Community & Giving Week is a chance to celebrate what makes Green Templeton special. We hope you’ll take part in the week and help create opportunities for current and future students. Whether through attending events, connecting with a student or making a donation, every contribution helps strengthen the college community and shape the future of its students.

Throughout the week, match funding and challenge funds will be available at selected times, meaning some donations will unlock additional support for students. Details of these opportunities will be shared by email during the week.
