Vice-Chancellor’s Awards success
Green Templeton members were recognised in four categories at the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards 2026.
The college’s long-running Management in Medicine Programme was Highly Commended for the Empowering People Award. The programme was recognised for having made an outstanding contribution to developing colleagues, either an individual or a team. It empowers medical students and healthcare professionals to develop their management and leadership potential.

Governing Body Fellow Peter Friend and colleagues at OrganOx won the Commercialisation and Entrepreneurship Award that recognises ventures that have translated research-based ideas into market-ready products or services. The company commercialises research into life-saving organ preservation technology, saving over 8,000 lives and achieved a landmark $1.5bn commercial exit.
Research Fellow Bridget Steele won the Breakthrough Researcher Award for her work on leadership in preventing sexual violence in higher education. Her at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention is shaping national approaches to preventing sexual violence in higher education, while positioning Oxford as a leader in evidence-informed policy and practice.
Tori Ford (DPhil Primary Health Care, 2021) won the Research Engagement Award that recognises those who have enriched their research through engaging with those outside the university, for the benefits of wider society. Tori’s co-produced patient research on recurrent vulvovaginal pain is shaping NHS care pathways, clinical guidelines, and parliamentary policy.
