Join this online talk jointly organised by the Hong Kong and Singapore alumni groups, exploring Asia’s twin powerhouses as global financial hubs at 20:00 Hong Kong and Singapore local time (13:00 British Summer Time).
The talk delivered by experts in their fields, including a Green Templeton alum, will look at the region’s evolving relationship, unpacking where they collaborate, where they compete, and what it means for business.
It is also open to all alumni to tune in to, such as all college alumni chapters in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.

About the speakers
Alum and founding co-chair of the Green Templeton College Hong Kong Alumni Society Nathaniel Chan (MBA, 2016) will provide the opening remarks whilst Common Room member Professor Steve Ngo will be moderating the talk.
Dennis Lee (MBA, 2017) is currently Principal (Insurance Solutions) at Salesforce. From managing multi-line insurance portfolios across multiple markets at a Fortune 100 insurer, to streamlining operations as an in-house strategy consultant, to building enterprise solutions at leading global technology firms, Dennis now architects AI, data and automation platforms for insurance carriers and intermediaries across ASEAN, spanning both life and non-life sectors.
A full-time MBA graduate of the University of Oxford, with an engineering degree from the University of Hong Kong, he brings 18 years of cross-sector, international experience across three continents to drive insurance innovation for social good.
Charles Chia is General Manager (Special Projects) at Sino Group, a leading property developer with operations in China, Hong Kong SAR and Australia.
He has over 20 years of experience in aviation and hospitality management, including roles with the Fullerton Hotel and Fullerton Bay Hotel in Singapore and the Fullerton Hotel in Sydney. In 2022, he was part of the opening team for the Fullerton Ocean Park Hotel, the first hotel project in Hong Kong and mainland China to attain WELL Precertification under the WELL Building Standard v2.
He is also Chief Executive Officer of the Hong Kong–ASEAN Foundation, an independent non-profit organisation promoting cultural and economic ties between China, Hong Kong SAR and ASEAN countries. The Foundation organises the ASEAN Film Festival in Hong Kong, showcasing Southeast Asian cinema.
Ken Loo is Team Leader of the Greater China Team, and Executive Director at the Standard Chartered Global Private Bank.
Ken has 25 years of experience across private banking, wealth management and branch retail banking. He focuses on ultra high net worth families in the Asia region and has deep expertise in wealth management and succession planning. He is also proficient in risk management and hedging, utilising a range of banking strategies and tools.
Ken has held key roles at several banks, including Deutsche Bank, BNP Paribas, UBP SA, CIC Private Bank, as well as UOB and OCBC in Singapore. He also has experience supporting regional ultra high net worth families and businesses in relocating headquarters to Singapore.
