Alumni and students meet again
Alumni returned to college on Thursday 21 May to meet current students who are shaping Green Templeton today. The group gathered in the Tower of the Winds with a mix of regular attendees and those returning to college for the first time as an alum.
Designed to bridge the gap between current and former students, the event builds on the first alumni-student reception in 2025, expanding this year to include dinner invitations, thus creating more opportunities for connection, collaboration and co-creation.
London alumni group co-chair Mark Glaire (DPhil Biomedical and Clinical Sciences, 2016) said in a short speech,
‘Green Templeton College was central to my Oxford experience, and there’s always something special about coming back to reminisce and reconnect with the people and the place that made it so memorable.’
Current GCR President Shubh Kumar (DPhil Cancer Science, 2023) added,
‘The college prides itself of its ever-growing, vibrant, and impactful community built over the years. We are a hub of curiosity, innovation, and the impact is experienced across the globe wherever our fellow alumni go.
‘We are a place never lost to our students, and we will always be a haven of connection and familiarity wherever the road leads.’
Attendees exchanged experiences and built connections across disciplines and generations. Green Templeton thanks its alumni community for making the time to share their experience and knowledge with the current student community.
