Green Templeton College’s library is located on the ground floor of the Walton Building on McAlpine quad.
The library’s three reading rooms are open to college members 24 hours a day, 7 days a week providing quiet study spaces and access to our book collections. Visitors from other colleges may be admitted to consult material that’s not available through the Bodleian Libraries or departmental libraries. Please contact library staff to make an appointment.
As well as a large book collection reflecting the courses taken by Green Templeton students, the library has a number of smaller collections which provide a holistic approach to student support:
These books cover a variety of subjects including managing stress, mindfulness, dealing with anxiety and building happiness.
Maarifa is Swahili for knowledge. This collection celebrates Black history, culture, writers and experiences.
These books focus on the culture, stories, history and politics of the international LGBTQ+ population.
The collection includes inspirational stories of people living with disabilities as well as books on how to support those with disabilities.
Medical equipment library
The Library has a number of ophthalmoscopes, otoscopes, tuning forks and pen torches which medical students can borrow. There is also a full-size anatomical skeleton in one of the reading rooms
