The Annual Fund has announced the recipients of the latest round of financial support, after calling for applicants in priority areas including wellbeing, sustainability and equality, diversity and inclusivity.

The successful applications include an eight-week mindfulness course run by Graduate Common Room (GCR) President Penny Cornwall, which will aim to train students to be more aware of their bodies and minds through engaging workshops.

The Junior Deans have also been awarded funding to provide festive activities to all students remaining at Green Templeton over the Christmas period. The Junior Deans’ Festive Activities, run by one of the Junior Deans, Carlos Outeiral, will offer festive snacks, Christmas decorations and a drawing competition. The activities will recognise traditions from around the world.

The fund provides financial support to a range of non-academic related activities, through the generosity of donors to Green Templeton College. Applications were invited in Michaelmas from all students and staff with direct responsibility for student wellbeing and welfare.

Funding has also been provided to the hospitality team to continue providing hampers and subsidising event kits for student-run activities. Further support will be given to the Academic Projects department to support student activities which have a focus such as medicine, sustainability and education, and to the Estates team to assist with the continued development of sporting facilities at college.

🦖🦴 Major archaeological discovery at the Radcliffe Observatory 🦖🦴

What began as routine landscaping work on the front lawn has taken a rather unexpected turn…

Earlier this week, contractors uncovered what appear to be dinosaur bones.

Initial (very enthusiastic) assessments suggest the remains could belong to a previously unknown species, tentatively named Green Templetonosaurus.

We’ll share further updates as soon as we know more… 🦖
