Congratulations Charles Roehr
Research Fellow Dr Charles Roehr has been awarded Niilo Hallman Medal for Outstanding Achievements in Paediatrics by the Finnish Paediatric Society. The Medal celebrates internationally recognised contributions to paediatric research and clinical practice and was presented to Dr Roehr during the Annual Finnish Paediatric Meeting in Helsinki in February 2026.
Dr Roehr also delivered an invited lecture at the meeting entitled ‘Non-invasive ventilatory support in preterm neonates today’, addressing an audience of paediatricians from a broad range of subspecialties and all levels of seniority. His presentation focused on recent advances and current evidence in respiratory support for very preterm infants.
Dr Charles Roehr, a neonatologist, is a Research Fellow at Green Templeton College and Clinical Consultant Advisor to the National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit NPEU-CTU, Women’s and Reproductive Health, University of Oxford. He is Chair for Neonatal and Perinatal Medicine at the University of Bristol.
