Lennard Lee appointed to new College of Experts
Research Fellow Dr Lennard Lee has been appointed to the new UK Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) College of Experts.
The College of Experts was formally launched on 18 June 2026 at the Royal Society in London, bringing together members from universities, industry and research institutes across the UK.
Lennard is one of 71 members selected through a competitive process that attracted nearly 1,200 applications. Members volunteer up to five days a year to support government work, from short advisory conversations to workshops and peer review.
Dr Lennard Lee is an expert in advancing medicine through emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence, robotics and AI-designed personalised cancer vaccines.
As AI transforms healthcare and AI Scientists, AI clinical assistants and physical AI reshape the way medicine is discovered and delivered, he is passionate about ensuring the next generation of doctors has the opportunity to lead this transformation and build a future where healthcare is safer, more effective and more personalised than ever before.
