New Fellows join Green Templeton
The college is pleased to welcome new fellows elected by Governing Body over the summer.
Ali Ansaripour, Robert Conway, Seung Joo Lee, Mitali Mukherjee, Juliane Reinecke and Jane Gingrich all join Green Templeton’s 300-strong fellowship.
New Fellows
Ali Ansaripour
Ali Ansaripour has joined as a Joan and Richard Doll Fellow. Ali studied medicine at King’s College London and received the IoPPN Clinician Investigator Scholarship to undertake an MSc in Neuroscience and Neuroimaging. He completed his thesis project at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Harvard Medical School.
Ali completed his Foundation Training in Cambridge where he was a Clinical Supervisor at the medical school. Ali is currently a Cardiothoracic Surgical Trainee at Oxford University Hospitals and a member of the Surgical Teaching Committee, University of Oxford.
Robert Conway
Robert Conway has started as a Joan and Richard Doll Fellow at Green Templeton College, University of Oxford. He is currently an Emergency Medicine doctor based in the Thames Valley Deanery.
Robert has a significant interest in Medical Education – he holds a lectureship at Oxford’s University College, is currently completing a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education Teaching and Learning and has recently been involved in introducing novel inter-professional simulation for medical and nursing students in Oxford.
Dr Seung Joo Lee
Dr Seung Joo Lee has become a Research Fellow of Green Templeton College and an Associate Professor of Finance at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. He received his PhD in economics from University of California at Berkeley. He studied physics in college and once had a dream of becoming a theoretical physicist. During his PhD, he served in the Republic of Korea Army for three years as a first-lieutenant assigned at Korea Military Academy, which was a rewarding experience.
Seung’s research interests are about financial markets, global macroeconomy, and various policy responses. His current focus is on various unconventional monetary policies employed by central banks around the world to tackle shortcomings of the current monetary policy framework. He enjoys discussing military history and politics in his spare time, and hopes to contribute to the college’s vibrant culture.
Mitali Mukherjee
Mitali Mukherjee started as an Associate Fellow of Green Templeton College and Director of Journalist Programmes, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism, University of Oxford.
Mitali is a political economy journalist with more than two decades of experience in TV, print and digital journalism. Over the course of her journalistic career, Mitali has been Consulting Business Editor at The Wire and Mint. Prior to that she was Markets Editor at CNBC TV 18 and Prime Time Anchor at TV Today and Doordarshan. She has been a Fellow at The Observer Research Foundation (ORF) where she led Gender Initiatives for the organisation.
Professor Juliane Reinecke
Professor Juliane Reinecke started as a Senior Research Fellow, Green Templeton College and is Professor of Management Studies, Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
Juliane’s research draws on insights from organisation theory, political philosophy and process studies to explore, broadly speaking, how transnational governance institutions emerge and evolve as a result of the interactions of multiple stakeholders to promote more just and sustainable forms of globalisation in global supply chains, but also organisations in general.
Jane Gingrich will also join the college in January 2023 when she takes up a Professorship of Social Policy at the Department of Social Policy and Intervention (DSPI).
