Open Doors 2024
Nearly 1,000 people visited Green Templeton as part of Oxford Open Doors on Sunday 15 September.
Visitors were able to step inside the beautiful eighteenth-century Radcliffe Observatory β the central focus of the three-acre college and the site of an ongoing conservation project. From sculpted figures of the Eight Winds on the Tower to beautifully kept gardens and a 19th century telescope, there was plenty to marvel at and explore.
For the second year running, Green Templeton was delighted to be showcasing its connection to the field of astronomy by partnering with the Oxford Astrophysics sub-department. Visitors hadΒ the opportunity to explore the universe through hands-on activities and demonstrations, as well as exhibits on exoplanets and the solar system. There were plenty of family friendly activities to enjoy and discover!
