HEXI (Oxford Health Experiences Institute)

These pages capture the activities of the Oxford Health Experiences Institute (HEXI), which ran an active programme of events to understand experiences of health, illness and healthcare, and used that understanding to transform care through influencing policy, practice and education.

This was a joint initiative between Green Templeton College and the University’s Department of Primary Care Health Services.

In recognition of the inspirational role of former Governing Body Fellow Dr Ann McPherson, who established the HEXI initiative, our colleagues in NDPCHS have named their new health experiences platform hexi.ox.ac.uk. Launched in June 2024 this site publishes freely accessible findings from qualitative research studies on over 140 health conditions and issues, together with video and audio clips from the interviews.

Green Templeton College continues to be committed to events that explore patient experience.
