For School Students

For the first time, the RDS are inviting School Students to attend the annual conference free of charge. Pupils will be able to watch a live-stream of the morning conference talks and network with conference delegates during recesses. Following a brief tour of Green Templeton College, students will participate in an afternoon workshop focusing on applications to Oxford Medical School. All aspects of the application will be covered: students will have the opportunity to ask any questions about the application process and can practice answering Oxford-style interview questions.

Pupils applying for 2023 or 2024 entry to Medical School are eligible to apply online. The deadline for applications is Monday 4 October. For pupils unable to travel to Oxford in person, online-only applications can be made to watch the morning talks remotely.

About the Richard Doll Society

The Richard Doll Society is the medical society of Green Templeton College, run for and by the clinical students. The society is run by a committee of students who work to put on a broad range of events throughout the year.

Named after the first Warden of Green College, who discovered the link between smoking and lung cancer, the society’s primary purpose is building a strong community among college medics and offering further training opportunities through workshops and seminars.
