Library

The college Library is located on the ground floor of the Walton Building in McAlpine Quad and is open to current Green Templeton students 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. There are three reading rooms for silent study and a book collection, which you can access yourself or via a Click and Collect service.

Library staff are available during office hours and can help you with accessing online resources, new book requests, literature searches and using other Oxford libraries. If you’d like a guided tour once you arrive, contact library@gtc.ox.ac.uk or call into the office. Alternatively, there are QR codes across the library, which you can use for a self-guided tour and a full online tour is also available.

Finally, follow us on Instagram for news, highlights and memories from the library and archives.

Study Rooms

The Library can get busy, particularly during exam periods and we encourage you to make use of all the available spaces in college for study and reflection. In addition to the library, the Common Room in the Observatory is another space that is often available for individual or group study. The Stables Gallery, Hayloft and Bar spaces are not always quiet, but can be a good place for group discussions with a hot drink.
